Shaking and Malnourished, She Crept Across the Earth with Mange-Inflicted Skin.

Meet Ayla, who was discovered by Krista when she was only 2.5 months old. It’s difficult to put into words how much pain she was in – malnourishment, suffering from mange and shivering while barely able to move on the ground.

Krista brought Ayla to the vet where it was discovered that her overall health condition was poor based on the clinic’s diagnosis. It was suspected that Ayla had ingested a stone, which further indicated that she lacked calcium resulting in deformities in both of her front legs. As a result, Ayla had to crawl on the ground, causing significant abrasions and injuries over time.

At the moment, Ayla is receiving medical treatment in the hospital, and the medical staff is working diligently to ensure her recovery. With proper attention and care, it may take up to three months for her to completely heal. However, the good news is that Little Steps has taken responsibility for her overall well-being and security.

Thankfully, Ayla’s X-ray results came back negative for any broken bones. This is a promising sign that her chances of regaining the ability to walk are higher.

Ayla enjoyed some sunbathing while getting her food, despite the persistent itching from mange. She seemed to be in high spirits and was definitely a great patient.

The following day, Ayla underwent a blood test and fortunately, the results showed no major health issues except for mange and malnourishment. To address her deformities, Ayla received a calcium supplement and a bandage for support.

It brings me immense happiness to see our little one bonding with Ayla, the most cheerful puppy in the world. The way she plays and enjoys herself is truly heartwarming. One can tell that she is thrilled to be able to run around and act like a playful puppy once again. Additionally, she has taken a liking to a new ball which motivates her to take more steps.

Ayla is required to keep the bandage on for approximately a week.

Hey Ayla, we’ve got your back! Let’s fight this battle together and spread your story far and wide.
